We invite you to sing with us on September 21 and 22, 2024, at the Minnesota State Sacred Harp Convention:  

• Saturday at Olivet Church, 1850 Iglehart Ave, St Paul, MN 55104
• Sunday at The Landing (in the picnic pavilion), 2187 Highway 101 E, Shakopee, Minnesota 55379

Singing will be 9:30–3:00 each day, with a potluck dinner on the grounds at noon. Please bring a water bottle and travel mug for hot beverages so that we can minimize waste.

There will be a Saturday evening social, with opportunity to sing new compositions. The St. Paul location will be provided at the Saturday singing.

Child care

After consulting parents of young children in the local singing community about whether childcare is needed, we have determined that we will not offer childcare at this year’s convention due to lack of demand.

Covid protocols

We all know Covid remains active in our communities and degree of risk depends on one’s health status. We recognize that singing is a very efficient way to spread respiratory diseases. We recommend the following, and we encourage singers to take whatever additional precautions they deem appropriate: 

• While we will not require vaccines or testing, we recommend both as you are able.
• Sing with us another time if you feel at all ill. 
• We ask anyone who tests positive in the week after the convention to let the chairs know so we can alert the community to any exposure risk.
